FAQ for Bands

Information for Bands


 

  • All performances to be 60 minute sets. Performances are near-acoustic, so think stripped down sound and equipment needs. The goal is to be heard to the sidewalk, not down the street. Other bands may be playing nearby, so be respectful.
  • Please post information about your PorchFest DSM performance on your social media and connect with the PorchFest DSM website www.porchfestdsm.org  and Facebook Page .
  • Electricity will be provided by the porch host for your use. No other equipment will be provided . You will need to bring your own everything.
  • Arrive 40-60 minutes early to set up and get a sound check
  • You may have to park and walk a short distance if you cannot park immediately by your porch. 
  • It is up to each artist to recruit tips during their set. A tip jar will be present at each porch. Remember to encourage your audience to make donations during your performance and don’t forget to CLAIM your tips! 
  • You are welcome to sell your own merch during your performance. You’ll need to be responsible for your own sales.
  • Please do not ask for access to your host’s home. Porta-potties are located in the area and will be marked on the map.
  • Invite your friends and followers to join you for your performance.
