Newly formed Des Moines duo, Not Sisters, features Rainbow Penley (vocals/guitar) and Allison Hall (vocals/piano). They bring an eclectic catalogue of music with powerful female harmonies.

Rainbow has previously performed with the Rainbow Penley Band. Her dynamic vocals take you on a beautiful, musical experience featuring original songs, classic rock and alt- country covers.

Allison currently performs with The Unfortunate Sons and has a background in classical piano. She brings her artistic inspiration into songs and contributes striking harmonies to the duo.

Not Sisters began in the fall of 2023. They bring a fresh addition to the Des Moines music scene and have performed at The Greenwood Lounge, Confluence Brewing Company and Alleged Lee’s. They are an inclusive, expressive duo and are excited to be on this new musical journey!
